This presentation draws on the sustainability reports and overseas practices of CNMC and other mining companies to examine the evolving pathways of responsible mining under the Belt and Road Initiative. It focuses on the integration of resource development with environmental protection, localization strategies and community engagement, as well as the implementation of ESG governance frameworks in mining operations. Based on practical experiences in Central Asia and other regions, the presentation analyzes how mining companies can balance economic performance, social responsibility, and environmental stewardship within complex regulatory and multi-stakeholder contexts. It aims to provide a structured and transferable management approach for sustainable mining investment and operations in emerging markets.
