Michael joined KfW IPEX-Bank`s Metals & Mining Team in 2022 as Head with global responsibility. He has been working in the banking sector since 1996. He joined KfW in 2003 in the Export and Project Finance department. Amongst others, Michael focused on basic industry sectors for 9 years as VP and was involved in numerous large and complex ECA-covered transactions, guarantee structures and other foreign trade financings in a leading position. He was delegated to the German Ministry of Economics and Technology in Berlin to focus on Export Credit and Untied Loan Guarantees (UFK) for two years. From 2017-2022 he was Head of the Structuring Advisory Team for ECA Cover and other major products of the institution. He finalized his studies at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences/Germany and University of Victoria/Canada with a diploma in Business Administration and Finance and is accredited by the Society of Investment Professionals as a Certified Credit Analyst.
