Marat Yelibaev is a manager with 20 years of experience in financial structures, including international ones.
He worked for the big Four companies PricewaterhouseCoopers and Deloitte, where he dealt with mergers and acquisitions, conducted audits of state-owned companies, projects in the mining industry, metallurgy, oil and gas, transport and logistics.

He is at the forefront of the development of the renewable energy industry in Kazakhstan, as he oversaw the special program of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on renewable energy sources.

He was involved in investment projects in non-resource sectors of Kazakhstan at CITIC Kazyna Investment Fund I L. P.

Since February 2022, he has been working at the Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC, and since December 2023, he has been Chairman of the Bank's Management Board.

Marat Yelibaev graduated from T. Ryskulov Kazakh University of Economics with a degree in Finance and Accounting. In 2004, he studied at the International Business Academy specializing in the management module of the MBA program (professional Manager). Holds a Master's degree in Finance (Corporate Finance) from London Business School as part of the Bolashak International program. He is a member of the Presidential Youth Personnel Reserve.
