John Mann is a Director at Montfort Eurasia, the emerging markets division of UK strategic communications consultancy Montfort Communications. Mr. Mann is a seasoned international corporate communications executive with over three decades of experience in the fields of public relations, public affairs, and investor relations, much of it focused on the natural resources industry.

Prior to joining Montfort, Mr. Mann lived in Moscow for over two decades and led communications for some of the region’s most notable companies, including Siberian Oil Company (Sibneft), Millhouse LLC, and UK-listed gold producers Highland Gold Mining Ltd. and Petropavlovsk Plc. He also served on the Board of Directors of Highland Gold and on the Executive Committee at Petropavlovsk.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Mann built one of the first communications consultancies in Kazakhstan, working with clients in various industries including oil and gas, consumer products, and energy. He was concurrently a regular news presenter on Kazakh state television.

A native of Washington, DC, John is a fluent Russian speaker and studied Soviet and post-Soviet history and politics at Harvard University.
