Emrah Erdem is a senior executive with experience in strategic leadership, project development, and global operations management within the international mining sector. Currently serving as CEO of Miryıldız Mining, he oversees the company’s operations in Turkey, the Central African Republic, and Kazakhstan, and shapes its growth strategies.
Erdem, who has played an active role in all stages of the mining value chain (exploration, resource development, feasibility studies, financing, and production), specializes particularly in the establishment and scaling of multi-country operations. Under his leadership, Miryıldız is in the process of transforming from a regional player into a globally competitive entity by integrating local production capabilities with international projects.
Erdem is also the founder of Afriasya Mining and has played a key role in exploration and development projects carried out in more than 16 countries through this company. His approach, which integrates technical processes such as geophysics, drilling, resource modeling, and production planning with an investment perspective, aims to enhance the financial sustainability of these projects.
Its strategic focus includes the development of high-potential gold and base metal projects, the structuring of appropriate financing models, and sustainable mining in accordance with environmental and social responsibility principles. Erdem, which focuses particularly on Karlin-type gold deposits and polymetallic systems, is developing business models that make low-grade but high-volume projects economically viable.
Erdem, who plays an active role in international investor relations, project financing, and corporate restructuring, is also an advocate for next-generation growth strategies in the mining sector.
