Dominic Heaton is the CEO of Cove Kaz Capital (Cove), leading the team to build the Severniy Katpar tungsten project in partnership with Kazakhstan’s national mining company, Tau Ken Samruk. Cove is focused on accelerating feasibility programs, establishing local processing capability, and developing a world class organization capable of responsibly unlocking Kazakhstan’s critical minerals potential. The project represents the world’s largest known undeveloped tungsten resource and is strategically aligned with U.S. and Kazakh priorities to build secure, resilient critical minerals supply chains. Mr Heaton brings more than three decades of global mining leadership across Asia, Australia, and emerging markets. He is widely recognized for having led the development of the Nui Phao integrated tungsten mine and refinery in Vietnam, the largest tungsten operation outside China and one of the most complex polymetallic projects brought into production in the past two decades. His work at Nui Phao established a benchmark for operational discipline, downstream value creation, and sustainable development in challenging jurisdictions.
