Paul is a Technical Director and experienced water specialist with over twenty years of experience predominantly focussed on mining projects. Paul leads SLR's Mine Water team and coordinates technical input across all phases of a mining project including engineering studies from scoping through feasibility to design, compliance audits and operational improvements, closure planning and legacy mine water management. Paul’s primary technical focus areas are water resource management, tailings management and dam safety. He leads delivery of mine water management and water balance modelling projects working alongside hydrologists, hydrogeologists, tailings and process engineers to manage water resources responsibly. He has worked closely with tailings and mine waste engineers for over 15 years on a wide range of design, operational management, governance and independent review projects. He has worked on mining projects throughout the world, primarily in Africa and Europe but also in North America, South America and Australia.
