Ivan Livinskiy

Ivan Livinskiy progressed from a Geotechnics Consultant to a Board Member of Directors at SRK Russia and is currently the General Director and an Expert in Geotechnics and Hydrogeology at CMT Kazakhstan.

He is the President of the Kazakhstan Society for Rock Mechanics (KazSRM), which serves as the national group of the ISRM. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of PONEN and a member of international professional societies including AusIMM and OERN.

During his career, Ivan has participated in more than 130 projects across more than 100 deposits, leading projects in over 85 of them. He has visited more than 45 mining sites in various countries, including Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Spain, Guinea, Burkina Faso, Brazil, and Chile.

Ivan is a co-author of the federal regulations “Rules for the Stability of Pit Slopes, Benches, and Waste Dumps” (2020) and the methodological guidelines (2022) accompanying them. He is also a co-author of the federal regulations “Rules for the Stability of Underground Mine Developments of Deposits” (currently under development), as well as more than 15 scientific publications in geotechnics, including international papers.

Ivan regularly participates as a lecturer in professional training programs for specialists and students from mining companies and universities.
