Vlad Paddack is a Fellow at Nightingale Int. and a Senior Analyst at AKE International, specializing in Eurasian security and political affairs, with a particular focus on Russia, Ukraine, the Caucasus and Central Asia. His work examines the intersection of energy and geopolitics, as well as broader geopolitical shifts, great-power competition, critical minerals, trade corridors and regional connectivity.

Vlad completed his undergraduate studies at the Department of War Studies, King’s College London, and earned his master’s degree at the Graduate Institute Geneva, where he wrote his thesis on energy security in Kazakhstan and Georgia.

From Analysis to Action: How to Build Narratives and Model Crises

The task of the block is to translate geopolitical analytics into practical communication tools. Part A: Constructing Narratives Based on Geopolitical Positioning The key idea is that a Kazakh mining company should have a matrix of narratives adapted to different stakeholders, while consistent with each other. Part B: Stress Testing of Communications through Crisis Scenario Modeling The audience is offered 2 scenarios that require an immediate communication response. Purpose: to show how lack of preparation leads to specific losses.
