Maria is a certified engineer in environment, has over 25 years’ experience working as an environment expert. Her professional experience started as an environmental emergencies forecast specialist in the Monitoring and Forecasting Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation. As a result of her work, she was awarded a state award. Joining IMC Montan team in 2008 (international consulting company) Maria works as an expert in the field of environmental impact assessment of mining enterprises and environmental risk management. During her time at the company, she participated in more than 70 projects. She has extensive experience combining knowledge of all stages of the life cycle of mining enterprises (from the design intention to the closure stage) on a wide range of minerals, has skills in applying international standards of environmental responsibility, and contributes to the implementation of environmental risk identification and management systems. The practice includes both environmental support for Greenfield projects and solving complex cases at enterprises with historically accumulated socio-environmental risks. Maria is an Expert of the NDT (Best Available Technologies) of the Russian Federation, affiliated member of the ISEP (Institute of Sustainability & Environmental Professionals).
