CAML Exploration: From Generative Exploration to Advanced Drilling

CAML Exploration is the dedicated exploration vehicle of Central Asia Metals PLC (CAML), focused on discovering high-grade, copper-dominant, and polymetallic deposits in Kazakhstan with clear, low-capex development pathways.
Supported by CAML’s strong balance sheet and proven operational success at the Kounrad copper recovery operation, we combine disciplined capital allocation with deep regional expertise and a science-led exploration approach. Our strategy is designed to deliver capital-efficient discoveries that can be integrated into CAML’s production portfolio.
We pursue two complementary growth avenues. First, we unlock value in established mining districts through brownfield exploration—targeting extensions, satellite deposits, and underexplored structural corridors. Second, we conduct systematic generative work across prospective belts to identify new district-scale opportunities.
Our primary focus includes the Chingiz–Tarbagatay belt for VMS and porphyry-related systems, along with selected SEDEX belts and sediment-hosted copper basins with stratabound potential. Target ranking is driven by grade potential, metallurgy, infrastructure access, and scalability from the earliest evaluation stage.
We integrate modern geoscience tools—including advanced geochemical modeling, structural reinterpretation, UAV-supported mapping, and rigorous analysis of extensive Soviet-era datasets—with phased drill testing to efficiently convert concepts into high-confidence targets.
CAML Exploration’s objective is clear: build a robust, risk-balanced pipeline of high-margin copper assets that can progress rapidly from discovery to development, strengthening CAML’s long-term production profile and delivering sustainable shareholder value.
